Hello

I am an author and illustrator in Northern Michigan. I love exploring the natural world and drawing and writing about what I see, like vernal ponds in the woods and tidal pools along the edge of the sea.  I also like reading about places I have never been, like the inside of a cell or the bottom of the ocean. I use research and my imagination to draw and write about those places too. I use pencils, watercolors, drawing inks and color pencils to create most of my illustrations. I also like drawing in crayon, making snow forts and building with legos alongside my kids.
